Taylor is a writer, theatre artist, and educator living in Cambridge, Ontario / Haldimand Tract. In her writing, she enjoys digging into difficult subjects using humour, developing complex characters, and balancing complicated relationships. Her projects often ask decolonial and feminist questions about what it means to be rural and/or Canadian.

Taylor studied theatre at York University, has an MFA in Creative Writing, and a PhD in English and theatre studies at the University of Guelph. She teaches as sessional professor in Southwestern Ontario and is the Interim Community Engagement Officer at the International Institute for Studies in Critical Improvisation.

June 2024, Talonbooks published a collection of three of her plays entitled Cottage Radio & Other Plays: Cottage Radio, White Wedding, & Post Alice.
