Legendary wit and beauty, perhaps the brightest light of a stellar family, Susan Kastner died peacefully, at home. Her utterly unique voice shone through an eclectic career that spanned newspapers (including a long stretch as a Star columnist), advertising, books, songs and scripts for stage and screen. She lived and worked in NY, London, Paris and Italy, she laughed frequently, married liberally. Predeceased by her Brecht-translator parents, Rose and Martin; brothers, filmmaker, John and actor, Peter; she leaves bereft son, Jamie; beloved daughter-in-law, Laura; adoring grandchildren, Max, Dash, and Dahlia; sister, Kathy (Marv); nephews, Danny (Christine and kids, Laila, Theo) and Gabe; nieces, Kira, Jessica and Julie (Forbes); and a list of admirers too lengthy for this limited space.
