Anne Simpson lives in Mi'kma'ki (Nova Scotia), where she writes poetry, fiction, and essays. Four of her ten books have been Globe & Mail Best Books. She has been awarded the Griffin Prize for poetry and the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award for fiction. An adjunct professor of English at St. Francis Xavier University, she has worked as a writer-in-residence at libraries and universities across the country.
