Sharon Singer is a poet, librettist, writer, and independent scholar. Throughout her career, in roles as a journalist, lecturer, and editor, she has been a powerful positive force, contributing to a variety of literary and cultural projects. Her diverse body of work spans several published collections of poetry, acclaimed spoken word CDs, short stories, and the book and libretto for the Canadian opera "Isis and Osiris, Gods of Egypt," which had its world premiere at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts in 2016. Whether through non-fiction, poetry, performance, or lectures, she strives to create works that resonate with diverse audiences, while provoking reflection and dialogue.

Her academic background is an Honours BA in English Literature from the University of Toronto, complemented by Film Studies in New York and London, England, where she honed her passion for writing, now the basis for her current work as an author.
