
Danila Botha is the author of three short story collections, Got No Secrets, which was published in 2010 by Tightrope books, For All the Men (and Some of the Women I've Known) which was published in 2016 and was a finalist for the Trillium Book Award, The Vine Awards for Canadian Jewish Literature and ReLit, and her new collection, Things That Cause Inappropriate Happiness, will be published by Guernica Editions in 2024. Stories from it have appeared in the Humber Literary Review, Changing the Face of Canadian Literature, and Jewishfiction.net. She is also the author of the novel Too Much on the Inside, which won a Book Excellence Award and was short listed for a ReLit Award. Her new novel, A Place for People Like Us will be published by Guernica Editions in 2025. Danila was the 2020-2022 writer in residence at the Toronto Heliconian Club. She teaches Creative Writing at University of Toronto SCS and is part of the faculty at Humber School for Writers.
