Sean Arthur Joyce is pleased to announce the launch of his latest collection of poetry, Diary of a Pandemic Year, published in June 2021. When the coronavirus lockdowns began in 2020 Joyce decided to set himself the task of writing poems on a pandemic theme for one year. At the end of that period whatever poems stood up to editorial scrutiny would be published in a limited edition format designed by the author. Joyce was inspired by the classic account of the 1665 bubonic plague in London by Daniel Defoe, A Journal of the Plague Year. These poems engage the reader in a critical dialogue, challenging the mainstream narrative and asking hard questions of where society is headed.
