On Jane Austen’s 250th birthday, December 16, 2025, Sarah Emsley will read from her debut novel, The Austens, at the Naval Museum of Halifax/Admiralty House, where Jane Austen’s brother Francis and several members of the Austen family lived in the 1840s. 

Harpist Adria Jackson will play and sing music from Jane Austen’s songbooks and the Austen family collection.
