Dorothy Chang's That Bare Light is a song cycle based on poetry by Jan Zwicky, Miriam Dunn, and Eleonore Schönmaier. The premiere will take place at the Early Music Vancouver Summer Festival. That Bare Light is for violin, cello, zheng and percussion and features Emma Parkinson, mezzo-soprano, with the EMV Festival Players & Sound of Dragon Ensemble. Eleonore Schönmaier's poem "Knot" is from Wavelengths of Your Song (McGill-Queen's University Press, 2013).
