With three weeks left, the 2024 New Voices Award invites unpublished, emerging writers (age 17 and over) to submit short stories, creative non-fiction, journalism and poetry.

The winner will receive $3,000 CAD and mentorship from an esteemed Canadian author.

The shortlist will be judged by a jury of Canadian writers, including Sharon Bala (The Boat People), Dimitri Nasrallah (Hotline, The Bleeds), and Sarmishta Subramanian (Best Canadian Essays 2020). All judging is blind.
