Melanie Little grew up in Timmins, Ontario and has lived in a lot of other places since. She writes fiction and non-fiction for adults and teens and has taught creative writing at Dalhousie University and at workshops across Canada. She was the founding editor of Freehand Books, Series Editor for Annick Press's "Single Voice" series, and from 2010 to 2012 was the Senior Editor of Canadian Fiction at the House of Anansi Press. She holds an Honours B.A. in English Literature from McGill University, an M.A. in English from the University of Toronto, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia.She lives in Toronto with her husband, the writer Peter Norman, and is working on a novel.
