Biography

Linda Trinh is a Vietnamese Canadian author who writes fiction and nonfiction for children and adults. She explores identity, cultural background, and spirituality. The Healer and the Phoenix is the first installment of a contemporary fantasy four-book chapter book series Legendary Allies, published by Annick Press about a powerful group of ten-year-olds, along with their mythical ally animals–who must embark on risky quests to help heal their communities. Seeking Spirit: A Vietnamese (Non) Buddhist Memoir is published by Guernica Editions - Miroland. Her early chapter book series about Vietnamese Canadian siblings, The Nguyen Kids, is published with Annick Press. Her work has appeared in anthologies and literary magazines such as The Fiddlehead, Room, This Magazine, The Nasiona, and Prairie Fire. She has been nominated for two National Magazine Awards. She lives in Winnipeg with her family.
