BIO
Biography

Renée M. Sgroi (she/her) writes poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Her second poetry collection, In a Tension of Leaves and Binding (Guernica Editions) was on the 2024 CBC Books fall and November preview lists and in 2025 was shortlisted for an International Rubery Award. A third book of poetry will be forthcoming in late 2027. A contributing editor for Arc Poetry Magazine, Renée's poems have most recently been published in Room Magazine, The Antigonish Review, Pinhole Poetry, and FreeFall Magazine. Her non-fiction essays have been published in The Nuances of Love anthology and the forthcoming Stitch by Stitch anthology, both with Guernica Editions. A certified Amherst Artists & Writers Affiliate, Renée offers online workshops in the Amherst method to midlife writers at all stages of their creative process.
