John Delacourt is an Ottawa writer whose fiction has appeared in numerous publications in Canada and the U.S. . His criticism and commentary have appeared in the Literary Review of Canada, the Rover, the Ottawa Review of Books, Ottawa Citizen and Ottawa Life. He studied at the Humber School for Writers after graduating with an MA in English Literature from the University of Toronto. His short story Liner Notes was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and his fifth novel The Black State is now available in Canada.
