Biography

During his career in the dental industry, Peter Pontsa authored numerous techno-clinical articles published in various dental journals and served as an associate publisher for a denturist magazine.

After retiring, Peter turned his focus to creative writing, completing an Advanced Fiction Writing course at the University of Waterloo. He is a member of the Crime Writers of Canada and the Simcoe Arts council.

Peter is the author of the William Fox Adventure Series. The first book, Outfoxed, was released in January 2023, followed by Sanctity of Freedom in March 2025.

Presentation Description
Presentation description

My characters, Mi Cha and Ho Jin, undergo rehabilitation and guidance through the Hanawon Settlement Support Center, an organization funded by the South Korean Ministry of Unification. Hanawon’s mission—to help North Korean refugees adapt to life in a free society with compassion and dignity—reflects a powerful vision of hope and humanity that runs throughout the story.

I have a slide presentation available to provide insight to people about what these refugees encounter. I believe it's important for the world to understand the issues these brave people faced - leaving their home and looking for a better future in South Korea.
