Catherine is a retired nurse professor and clinical placement manager from Toronto Metroplitan University.
She received a BscN from University of Rochester and a Masters from Univerity of Toronto
As a member of the Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value coalition she led the move to secure equal pay for public Health nurses. She was also active with organizing committee for the first Woman's Day march in Toronto. She is a feminist and humanist.
She started writing after retirement and published her first book at age 80. Her first novel is historical fiction called A Watch of Nightingales. She is currently editting another historical novel and a young adult novel
Catherine lives in the countryside near Claremont Ontario with her husband. She has three adult children, four grandchildren and a yellow labrador puppy.
