Tina Biello

Biography
Tina Biello, born in a small logging town in BC, to immigrant parents from Southern Italy. She is an actor, poet and playwright. She has three full length collections of poetry published with a fourth coming out in 2024 with Caitlin Press. Her first collection was part of an interdisciplinary exhibition of watercolor, poetry and music compositions inspired by her poems. This was exhibited in Montreal, Vancouver and Italy. She was Poet Laureate of Nanaimo from 2017-2020. She has collaborated with composers Katerina Gimon, Jennifer Butler and soon to be Alice Ho, all of whom have set Tina's poems to music which have been performed by the Vancouver Island Symphony and various singers.
